Allison Adams

Allison Adams is an associate director of the Center for Faculty Development and Excellence. Her primary areas of responsibility are support for faculty as writers and researchers, including the Scholarly Writing and Publishing Fund, the CFDE Faculty Writing Groups, and events such as Meet the Editor & Agent. She also coordinates events aimed to enrich Emory's intellectual life, including the annual Feast of Words celebration of Emory faculty authors and editors of recently published books and the CFDE's presence at the Decatur Book Festival every Labor Day weekend.

Allison also has served as editor of the Academic Exchange since its creation in 1998 and of ThoughtWork (formerly the AEWeekly) since its creation in 2000. Allison was previously an assistant editor of Emory Magazine and managing editor of Goizueta Business Magazine. She came to Emory in 1994 from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where she was director of publications. Allison holds a master's degree in English from Emory (2000) and a BA in English from Agnes Scott College (1989).
