Sarah McDonald

Sarah MacDonald came to the CFDE after three years of working with the Emory Writing Program, where her responsibilities included Writing Center tutoring, developing community engagement partnerships, and supporting Writing Across Emory programs. As the 2016-2017 CFDE Dean’s Teaching Fellow, she is excited to further expand her knowledge and skills in pedagogy and faculty development.

Sarah is a Ph.D. candidate in the Graduate Division of Religion, working at the intersection of Christian social ethics and conflict transformation Her current research focuses on ethics of solidarity in the context of faith-based international nonviolent activism.  Prior to her studies at Emory, she worked as a nonviolent accompanier in Colombia and the West Bank of Palestine. She holds an M.A. in English from the University of Iowa and an M.Div. from McCormick Theological Seminary.
