Classroom Mini-Grants

Call for CFDE Mini-grant Proposals: for Fall 2015

The Center for Faculty Development and Excellence (CFDE) offers The Classroom Mini Grants program to support faculty teaching.

A Classroom Mini Grant should be used for an activity directly related to a class you are teaching during the Fall 2015 semester. Anyone currently teaching at Emory is eligible, including graduate students, adjunct faculty, visiting faculty, lecturers, or tenure track faculty. Preference will be given to teachers who have not received past grants and for new course offerings. Only one application per faculty member per semester. Only one application per class (that is, co-teachers are not both eligible to apply for the same class). The request can be up to $300.

This Fund supports:

  1. Honoraria for guest presenters (non-Emory)
  2. Food and travel expenses for off campus class visits
  3. Classroom materials that may not be covered by regular departmental funds.

To apply, please send a paragraph that describes your need including course number, name, and semester the course is offered to Laketia Woodley at by Friday, May 8. Please also include your name, department, rank, email address and phone number.

Funds will not be transferred until the beginning of the new semester (early September 2015).
