Maggie Dryden
Graduate Assistant Editor of ThoughtWork
Maggie Dryden is a PhD student in Emory’s English Department where she studies 19th-century American poetry. She was born and raised in metro Atlanta and is a double Dawg, having received both her master’s and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Georgia. Her research mostly deals with manuscripts, utilizing Emory’s vast poetry archive, and her current first-year writing course argues that reading poetry in its various contexts offers readers a window into writing (and reading) as a complex process. At the CFDE, Maggie helps compile and edit ThoughtWork, the CFDE’s weekly newsletter.
