Funding for Hosting Conferences on Campus
The Office of the Provost considers formal requests from Emory faculty, staff and students to fund initiatives that will enhance the Emory academic experience.
Emory faculty members who are seeking financial support for hosting a conference on campus should contact Ally Howard, director of engagement and operations in the Office of the Provost, at ally.howard@emory.edu, or visit this page on the provost’s office website.
Please use this form to submit a sponsorship request. All complete requests will be reviewed and every effort will be made to respond in a timely fashion.
In addition to the financial support provided by the Office of the Provost, they recommend that you consider additional potential sources of funding to help ensure the event's overall financial viability:
- Individual School Support: We encourage you to work closely with the leaders of your individual school or college within Emory University. They may have specific funding opportunities, grants, or resources that can further support your event.
- Campus Partnerships: Consider forming partnerships programs, departments, or campus organizations that share an interest in your event's goals and themes. Collaborative efforts can often lead to shared funding and resources.
- External Sponsorship: Explore the possibility of securing sponsorships from businesses, alumni, or organizations that align with the mission and objectives of your organization and event.
- Ticket Sales or Registration Fees: If applicable, set ticket prices or registration fees for attendees, ensuring affordability for Emory students while helping offset event costs.
- Utilize Emory Spaces: Emory University offers various event spaces, including the Emory Continuing Education space near I-85 and Clairmont and the Emory Conference Center Hotel. Consider exploring these on-campus venues as potential cost-effective options for hosting your conference. They provide convenient settings and support services that may contribute to cost savings.
