CFDE Classroom Mini Grants
The Center for Faculty Development and Excellence offers Mini Grants to support faculty teaching.
The Center for Faculty Development and Excellence is offering Teaching Mini Grants for the Spring 2023 semester. The application deadline is January 5, and we’ll aim for a quick decision so that you can plan accordingly for your spring course. A Mini Grant should be used for an activity directly related to a class you are teaching during the Spring 2023 semester. The request can be up to $300.
Anyone currently teaching at Emory is eligible, including tenure track faculty, lecturers, adjunct faculty, visiting faculty, and graduate students. However, if you are teaching an Emory College course you should apply directly to ECAS at this link (look for “pedagogy mini-grant”), and these are administered by ECAS rather than the CFDE. At Oxford College, the mini-grants are administered by the Oxford Center for Teaching and Scholarship (OCTS); a call for applications goes out via Eagle Post in early fall and early spring. Everybody else, apply through this CFDE link.
This fund supports
- Classroom materials that may not be covered by regular departmental funds
- Software licenses that directly relate to your class
- Honoraria for guest presenters (non-Emory)
Please note
- Applicants must either have their own Smartkey/Speedtype account or be connected to a department with a Smartkey/Speedtype account which must be entered at the time of submission.
