New eLearning Conference Grants

The CFDE is pleased to announce a new grant opportunity for faculty. The eLearning Conference Grant program has been created to support faculty development and innovation in the area of online and digital teaching and learning. These grants cover amounts up to $2500 and are awarded to 1-2 faculty members to attend a professional conference approved by the CFDE. Conferences can be recommended by CFDE, but faculty may also submit any conference of interest for consideration as it relates to online education. For example, faculty may present on their eLearning activities at a non-eLearning conference (i.e., a conference related to their subject matter), or they may select an eLearning-focused conference (e.g., Online Learning Consortium (OLC), EDUCAUSE, Learning Solutions, SXSWedu, AACE, The Teaching Professor, and many more!).

CFDE eLearning Conference Grants may be used to cover conference registration and travel-related expenses. Regular full-time faculty currently teaching at Emory are eligible to apply. Additional criteria for eligibility include participation in three or more CFDE faculty development opportunities in the area of online education at the time of application. Eligible opportunities include, but are not limited to, Emory Foundations of Online Teaching (EFOT) modules, CFDE workshops and presentations about online teaching topics, developing a MOOC or Teach-Out, and individual teaching consultations for online teaching and learning.
