Emory OPEN: New Tool to Support Engagement With Atlanta Area Communities

Emory has a new tool to support engagement with Atlanta area communities. Emory OPEN uses the GivePulse platform and allows faculty, students, staff administrators and community members to connect with each other and with community organizations via message boards, announcements, and management tools for groups and events.

Emory OPEN will support faculty and students who are collaborating with partners in community engaged learning and/or research to create projects together, track participation, and evaluate results. It will also facilitate volunteer opportunities, registration for events, and reporting about projects.

For more information, please explore the Emory OPEN website.

For questions about how to use the site with community-engaged learning courses or research, contact the director of engaged learning, Vialla Hartfield-Méndez.
