Aug 16: Webinar on Fall 2022 Teaching and Classroom Safety
The CFDE hosted a webinar on teaching and classroom safety for Fall 2022, on Tuesday, August 16, 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
Presenters were
- Heather Mugg (Associate Vice Provost, Undergraduate Affairs)
- Amir St. Clair (Associate Vice President and Executive Director of Emory’s COVID-19 response and recovery)
- Eric Weeks (Director, Center for Faculty Development and Excellence)
The first few weeks of the semester may be challenging: higher rates of students isolating, need to help those students still make progress in your class, questions around remote/hybrid teaching, what to do if you (the instructor) test positive, etc.
Discussed: how Emory is making decisions for the fall – and how we can adapt if circumstances change -- and steps instructors should take to be prepared to support their students this semester.
The Center for Faculty Development and Excellent has also put together a Fall 2022 Frequently Asked Questions page.
We will keep updating the FAQ page as the semester approaches. If you have questions not answered in the FAQ, please email erweeks@emory.edu, who will try to get the answers as soon as possible.
